Being online offers anonymity, which creates an opportunity for deception, fraud, and the ability to vanish & hide anytime things go wrong. For these reasons, scammers can take advantage of both buyers and breeders.

The NEW STANDARDS are as follows:

- OPEN DOOR: Receive an 'Open Door' policy at all times, allowing you (the Buyer) to come visit the home or facility before selecting a pup. This allows you to take a peak into how we live, who we are, and how we (the Breeder) treat our dogs.
- ACCOUNTABILITY: We recommend you always inquire about the dog's pedigree, bloodline, health testing, and registration paperwork. The right Breeder will take their time to explain and answer ALL your questions, and NEVER make you feel judged or like you are 'asking too much.'
- HONESTY: Breeders will always provide real and honest information that can be backed up with the proper documentation and records.
- TRANSPARENCY: Breeders will have and provide copies of each document easily on hand to provide you; this is a must. (If you do not see any documentation, you can assume they do not have them.)
- CONSUMER CONFIDENCE: Always feel confident in your Breeder's abilities to provide you with all the right tools and resources to make purchasing your pup a smooth transaction. If you ever feel unsure, then WAIT! Always trust your instincts, and if you are unsure about something - ASK!
- AVAILABILITY: Post-purchase, you should feel assured about your experience and choice of breeder. It should feel like the beginning of a friendship with your breeder, whom you can contact anytime should you have questions, concerns, or need advice. The right breeder will always welcome contact from you, regardless of the nature of the reason.
